<p>Is it possible to animate a photo/video so that it continuously rotates about an axis within the xy-plane? For example, rotate it about the y-axis. I know how to regularly rotate a video (rotation about z-axis), and I know you can keyframe using distort with keyframe, but was wondering if there is a way to continuously have a shape rotating about a vertical axis. <p>Can't see any other posts on this site about this which seems unusual so here goes.</p> <p>I have a video in which a wire is used to pull an object from the scene. Even using the lumetri scopes, it's difficult to do accurately and any additional color correcting can affect this adversely when it's not dead on. To do this accurately would mean colour correcting almost frame by frame.</li> <li>I tried a video as the plate, rather than a still, and slipped it a few frames ahead so that the tone closely matches the top video. This is ok, but I get parts of the original scene showing through the mask that I don't want showing. If I slip the background video more, the colours don't match up again.</li> <li>I tried CC wire removal in After Effects, but due to the wire often being curved and not straight, this tool hasn't really worked. It also seems to struggle with backgrounds that aren't plain.</li> <li>I tried the content aware fill in After Effects, but this doesn't look great at all.</li> <li>I tried opening the video directly in photoshop and using the healing tools to remove the wire frame by frame. This works to some extent but do it accurately would be very tedious.</li> </ol> <p>Do I have any further viable options? Can anyone recommend anything that could work that I haven't already tried?</p>

What is this used for? Is this for digital effects added in post and to see the light and the direction of light? What is that used for?</p> <p>Is this to adjust the color of the digitally added material?</p> <p>This can't be added to adjust the images in post, because they should be the same (because of white balance), is it? <p>I am currently working on a short sci-fi film, and one scene involves a character going on a space walk. I've made a helmet, which has a plastic visor. The problem is that this visor is very reflective. All shots are in front of a green screen. My setup is fairly small, with a green screen stand and two soft-box lamps. The crew and equipment is fairly visible in the helmet, and I have also had keying issues with some test shots. There will be some lights within the helmet as well, but I don't think those will be enough. <p>I was re-watching for the upteenth time <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGJV6cJkFcc" rel="nofollow noreferrer">this video</a>.</p> <p>10 seconds in, when they start performing, the effect I would like to talk about is evident: the band members seem to move as if the video was sped up, yet their movements are in sync with the song (look at the drummer and most noticeably the singer lips).</p> <p>It does not seem to me that they where filmed at a lower speed (i.e. also the song was being played slowly), so I am wondering, how can such an effect be obtained? Am I mistaken and the method is indeed the one I am discarding, or is there some more clever video editing process at play here?</p>
